Organizing Your Garage for Indiana Weather: Seasonal Storage Tips

1 min read

Living in Indianapolis means we get to experience all four seasons—sometimes all in the same week! But this unpredictable weather means our garages have to work overtime, storing everything from snow shovels and rock salt to lawnmowers and bicycles.

The key to managing seasonal shifts is a smart, systematic layout. I recommend creating "Active" and "Deep Storage" zones. Right now, keep your current season's gear near the front door or garage entrance. The off-season items should be stored higher up on installed shelving or tucked away in the back. When the weather changes, simply swap the zones.

If your seasonal gear is currently mixed into one giant pile, I can help. I build custom layouts that make transitioning from winter to summer an absolute breeze.
